“Specialfastigheter owns and manages unique properties for unique tenants” is how we like to describe our business. We provide premises modified for special purposes that support our tenants operations in the long term, often with a focus on security. Such premises may be anything from prisons to law courts and special schools to police headquarters.

We are state owned and administered through the Ministry of Finance. Our owner places demands on our operations, and these govern our objectives and strategies.

We currently have 100 employees divided among four regions from north to south with our head office in Linköping.

Our property holdings have a combined floor space of just over 1.1 million square meters. The market value totals just over SEK 16 billion. Our sales in 2010 were SEK 1,686 million with earnings of SEK 804 million.

Our biggest tenants are the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, the National Police Board, the National Board of Institutional Care and the Swedish Armed Forces.
